Often, yes. We clean fabrics coded W, WS and S, and the technician reviews the material and its cleaning code tag before anything touches the cushions.
That tag is the manufacturer’s instruction for which cleaners the fabric can take. Microfiber can water-spot when too much liquid goes on, which is why the review comes first. X means vacuum only.
Can professional cleaning get dog smell out of a couch?
